KAJI RYOUJI
He first appeared in episode 8 along with Asuka. Later, Misato discovered that
he is the special section of inspection of the special institute NERV and at
the same time serving as a double agent at the inquiry section of the Japan's
ministry of interior.
He may seem to be a playboy and a goof when he first appeared, but later, he
turned out to be very serious and decisive if need be. He is also a charismatic
character with quite a strong influence in both Shinji and Asuka. In the 19th
episode, he encouraged Shinji to fight rather than run away, since Shinji was
the only left capable of stopping the Angel.
